A Holiday Gift From Green Kid Crafts

Announcing a gift with purchase that will be music to your ears, literally:

We are huge fans of Putumayo Kids, and thought of this CD immediately as we were busy preparing our Around the World box.

This collection of music is simply outstanding, with a diverse set of songs that are easy to sing along with. Here are just a few of the highlights:

  • We loved the  familiar sounds of Jorge Anaya’s cumbia version of “La Cucaracha” and the Fiddler’s Green Bush Band’s sprightly arrangement of “Waltzing Matilda”
  • Another favorite is Father Goose’s Jamaican rendition of the American folk song “Jig Jog Jee”  featuring top U.S. children’s music artist Dan Zanes who also chimes in on another track on the CD.
  • Kids will also learn a bit of Portuguese, Spanish and Mandarin with “Como Vai,” by Brazilian artist Hélio Ziskind, “Pititi y Titi,” by Jorge Conde y Ola Fresca, and “A Little Mandarin” from Shàng Xué Gē .
  • “Around the World” is performed beautifully by the Pihcintu Multicultural Children’s Choir, whose members are refugee girls mostly from war-torn regions.

Aside from being an amazing CD that we hope your family will love, Green Kid Crafts is excited to support Putumayo World Music as they plan to contribute $5,000 from sales of this CD to Population Services International (PSI) in support of its Five & Alive® campaign to ensure that all children have a healthy start to life, no matter where they are born.
