We are thrilled to be participating in Google +’s  ”the parents that make Halloween happen” week, a full line up of HOAs* celebrating parenting, kids and all things Halloween.

Join Green Kid Crafts founder, Penny Bauder, as she provides eco friendly tips to help you create a Green Halloween, live! She’ll talk about costumes, give a recipe for DIY face paint, and demonstrate how to make some ghosts using old milk jugs.

*What’s an HOA? Don’t worry — we just found out recently too. It’s a “Hangout On Air” and it’s amazing!! First of all, have you tried Google Hangout?? It’s like Skype but with better picture quality and the ability to see multiple people at once. Better still, there are “special effects” you can add to give yourself a funny hat, an eye patch or facial hair. No joke! We use it to see our family who lives a few states away and the kids get such a kick out of it. To try it yourself, you need to setup a gmail account (free). More information is available here. But anyway, back to the point of this post: a “Hangout On Air” is a live, public hangout that lets you broadcast video right from your Google + page!
